The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Fair, the largest free celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) for young people in the UK will be held at the NEC Birmingham, on the 15th – 18th March 2017.

From learning the science behind creating your own makeup, to understanding the engineering behind programming robots, the Big Bang Fair is an award-winning combination of exciting theatre shows, interactive workshops and exhibits, as well careers information from STEM professionals.

The annual event inspires young people to consider a career in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

The event, aimed primarily at 11-14 year old children, their parents and teachers, will take place from 15 to 18 March 2017, with Saturday 18th March being the day for families to attend.

Young visitors to the Fair will be able to explore everything from the science of rollercoasters, to the engineering behind chocolate. High-octane theatre shows from popular presenters will also be delivered throughout the course of the four days.

The Fair offers experiences in virtual reality, medicine, marine biology, film and TV, space exploration, explosive chemistry, crime-solving, robots, computer coding, microscopic bugs, giant trucks and more.

STEM employers will also be in attendance to show how these exciting experiences can be part of a whole range of real world job opportunities.

All adults must be accompanying a child. Free tickets to The Big Bang Fair are available from early October at www.thebigbangfair.co.uk
