The Rocky Horror Show is quixotic; a satirical tribute to science fiction and the horror B movies of the 30s to early 70s. It’s a film that heaps on piles of sexuality, sensuality, frivolity and hedonism. Born from a 1973 musical stage production Jim Sharman and Richard O’Brian quickly turned it into the phenomenal screenplay in 1975, following its quick ascension to cult classic status. The vibrant scene of Rocky fandom exploded across the World, with close knit fan families keeping the popularity of the stage and film productions alive. From top CEO’s to the local mailman – once welcomed into the fold, you lose the labels of your former self and become a member of the cast without labels.
