National Badminton League

The National Badminton League (NBL) is a brand new game changing league for badminton in the UK.

Created and run by Badminton England, the NBL is the first ever national league, featuring the very best shuttlers in the UK. Six franchise teams will battle for the NBL title:

Birmingham Lions
Team Derby
Loughborough Sport
University of Nottingham (UoN) Badminton
Surrey Smashers
Milton Keynes

The NBL is changing perceptions of badminton with new rules and a new attacking format making the game faster and more thrilling than ever. The NBL kicks off on October 6th 2014 with a home game for the Birmingham Lions against Team Derby. With both teams packed with Commonwealth Games and Olympic athletes, the action will be fast and furious. Come on the Lions!
