Following on from successful training sessions in 2013 launches a new programme for participants in previous training or those with some storytelling experience. Storytelling Gymnasium will give your storytelling a workout and get yourself fit for performance, providing new skills and sharpening up what you have already achieved.

It will be developing storytellers who want to go out there and get stuck into new audiences, both children and adults. The training will be linked to the Traditional Arts Team’s Stepping Stones programme giving participants an opportunity to engage with a range of audiences throughout 2014.

Storytelling Gymnasium is a regular monthly programme of training through 2014 and is not intended as a series of one-offs. The ongoing programme will enable participants to develop a supportive network among the group.

The workshop will be taught by Storytelling Café’s Graham Langley. It will be based on a wide range of performance techniques, but will be seeking the unique voice of the individual teller.
