Ol’ Black Eyes Is Back

The legendary Alice Cooper has announced an October 2019 UK arena tour.

Taking in Manchester, Aberdeen, Leeds, Brighton, London, Birmingham and Cardiff, the all-new show is called Ol’ Black Eyes Is Back and will feature Alice’s trademark, gloriously macabre theatrics alongside his phenomenal music.

Alice’s band on the seven-date trek will once again consist of Chuck Garric on bass, guitarists Nita Strauss, Ryan Roxie and Tommy Henriksen and Glen Sobel on drums.

Support will come from The Stranglers and MC50 - Wayne Kramer’s celebration of 50 years of the MC5’s Kick Out The Jams, which featured Soundgarden’s Kim Thayil and Fugazi’s Brendan Canty on recent tours.

Alice says: 'We’re coming back in October for a big tour with our new show ‘Ol Black Eyes Is Back. It’s going to be a great night with my very special guests The Stranglers plus the MC50'.

Alice’s last UK tour took place in November 2017 and featured a mini-set from his original Alice Cooper band members Dennis Dunaway, Neal Smith and Michael Bruce.

Often imitated but never duplicated, from 70s shock pop (Schools Out) to 90s dark hard rock (Poison), Vincent Fernier, aka Alice Cooper, remains one of rock's unforgettable icons. Altogether now - 'we're not worthy!'.

The Stranglers

The Stranglers appearing at this event

Seventies punk icons whose rat-infested songs plagued both the album and singles charts through the subsequent decade. Their compounded musical talents and enthusiasm, infused with large doses of charisma and dark notoriety goes more than a little way to explaining why The Stranglers have survived the vagaries of the music business. These days The Stranglers have at their core original members Jean-Jacques Burnel (bass), Dave Greenfield (keyboards), Jet Black (drums) and Baz Warne (guitar), with the lead vocals shared between Warne and Burnel (Burnel singing the songs he originally recorded as lead vocalist, and Warne performing the numbers originally sang by Hugh Cornwell).

MC50

MC50 appearing at this event

MC50 is original frontman Wayne Kramer’s celebration of 50 years of the MC5’s Kick Out The Jams, one the most incendiary rock albums ever. Playing the record from start to finish, Kramer has assembled a new line-up that completed both a US and European tour in 2018, featuring Soundgarden’s Kim Thayil, and Fugazi’s Brendan Canty.
