Storytelling Cafe

Shining Examples and Cautionary Tales.

Local comedian and storyteller Rich Stokes looks at living a better life through folk tale, fable and song. Who are the real villains? Do we get to choose to be hero or heroine of our own narrative?

Is it actually possible to live happily ever after, and if so, why don't more people give it a go? How grim were the Brothers Grimm? These questions and more will be answered (or at least mentioned) in the show.

An award-winning writer/performer, Rich Stokes has performed at the Library of Birmingham, MAC, the Birmingham Rep and the Glee Club as well as venues throughout the region and nationwide. His solo comedy/cabaret show, These Songs Ruined My Life, will debut at MAC Birmingham in February 2016.
