The Melvin Hancox Band make a welcome return to Joe Joe Jims on Saturday 16th November for another great evening of “blues/rock played with more psychedelic experience and imagination than most“!

Melvin has had a varied musical career from securing his first record deal at 16 to forming Joe Joe Jims favourites Vincent Flatts Final Drive and working with Budgie, Man, Tony McPhee, Canned Heat and the Ace Kefford, among many others, and now fronts his own band – featuring local legend Tony Baylis on drums – playing classic rock and blues numbers with their own twist. Their extended version of Freebird (yes, it is possible to extend the guitar solo!) formed a show stopping finale to their last gig and we're glad they could fit us into their hectic schedule.

We can guarantee this show will be one not to miss.
