On the afternoon of Sunday 10th May we are excited to announce that the legendary Birmingham band Quill - featuring ELO's/The Move's Bev Bevan on drums - will be playing live at Joe Joe Jims as part of their Spring 2020 Tour.

Quill is a seven piece music group originally from Birmingham UK which blends Rock, Folk and Americana styles with a unique blend of drums and percussion, violin and beautiful vocal harmonies.  2019 saw the launch of a brand new line-up that includes the legendary drummer Bev Bevan, known all over the world as a member of ELO, The Move and Black Sabbath and we are very much looking forward to them visiting Joe Joe Jims.

Along with Bev, their full line-up consists of Joy Strachan-Brain: Vocals, Abby Brant: Keyboards, Vocals, Kate McWilliam: Violin, Vocals, John Jowitt: Bass (ex Ark/IQ), Lee Evans: Guitar and Andy Edwards: Drums, Percussion.

The band state that "anyone seeing and hearing Quill in concert will wonder at the magic of the performance! Quill has developed a unique musical style that has captured many varied influences, plying Celtic folk hued Fleetwood Mac-ish rock before the Corrs were invented!" ... and who are we to argue?

We are expecting a high-demand for this gig so would strongly recommend purchasing tickets in advance.

Please Note: Entry is £12.50 in advance | £14.00 on the door

Quill appearing at this event

Celtic pop rock band - 'arguably the busiest Midlands based touring group' - fronted by two very attractive fiddle playing lasses. Over the past four decades Quill have reinvented themselves a number of times and they are about to do it once again! Their strong vocal harmonies and the artistry of violin and guitar is a key feature of their music. Quill not only captivate and entertain, but also offer a moving, yet truly dynamic and varied show equal to any first-class act, and will include additional guest artists and musicians. 'Quill have continued to perform their outstanding brand of folk rock over the last four decades' (Tony Collins, Birmingham Evening Mail).
