The Caribbean Food and Drinks Festival started in 2011 in response to a desire for Caribbean food to be more widely available to diverse communities in the UK.

The festival creates an environment in which Caribbean arts, culture, food and drink, in their various forms, are promoted and made accessible to an increasing proportion of the British population.

The Festival Objectives are to:

- Showcase, champion and celebrate Caribbean food, drinks, arts and culture
- Support and market Birmingham’s local and diverse food and drinks’ industry
- Promote Caribbean food, drink and culture, along with a range of activities and entertainment for the whole family.
