Back by popular demand, Level Up hits its fourth season! An explosive night of spoken word poetry featuring some of the UK's very best poets alongside local rising stars.

Alongside sets from special guests, expect open mic slots for you to share your own spoken word, as well as poetry video showcases, and time to socialise and exchange with like-minded people.

Headline - Jemima Foxtrot

Jemima blends powerful, sonic poetry about modern life with music. Shortlisted for the Arts Foundation Spoken Word Fellowship 2015, Jemima has also created a poetry film, Mirror, commissioned by BBC Arts as part of their Women Who Spit series.

Jemima’s debut poetry show Melody won the spoken word award at Buxton Fringe Festival 2015 before transferring to Edinburgh’s PBH Free Fringe. She has recently performed in the Barbican main hall as part of Doug Aitken’s Station to Station project alongside poetry legends including Simon Armitage and Don Paterson for a special concert curated by and featuring Beck.

Emerging - Ronak Patani

Actor and poet Ronak is the joint winner of the Roundhouse Poetry Slam 2013 and graduated from the Central school of speech and drama in 2014. Born in Kenya, raised in England then India and now living in London, his work reflects his experiences of these different continents.

Recent theatre includes: Behind The Beautiful Forevers and Dara (National Theatre); Primetime (Royal Court Theatre). TV and film credits include: Stella (Sky 1) and Point Break.
