Verdi described Macbeth as ‘one of mankind’s greatest creations’. Fittingly, his thrillingly intense adaptation of this famous play is brooding and ferocious. As ever, we the WNO Chorus (there are a number of breath-taking choruses) and Orchestra throw themselves into Macbeth and create a highly-charged evening.
