From the stark simplicity of Scene with Cranes to the bold, distilled complexity of the seventh symphony; Sibelius is revealed through the intimate thoughts in his letters and the dark, awe-inspiring qualities of his musical imagination. Tamsin Waley-Cohen makes a welcome return to perform as soloist in the seldom heard Humoresques.
