Mime, drawing and drama - there's plenty of arts on this tour of BBC Birmingham. Insightful BBC tour guides will explain the inner workings of programmes originating from BBC Birmingham such as BBC Midlands Today, The Archers, Asian Network, Home Front and BBC WM.

The Guides will spill secrets about some of the broadcast wizardry that goes into making a programme and will describe the level of work it takes to get your favourite programmes from script to screen. The fun-filled tour also lets you take part in a special recording of a radio drama or try your hand at presenting the weather! There is even more fun and thrills for all the family as younger visitors can take part in a round of ‘Mime Time’ and ‘Quick on The Draw’ with a CBBC’s Copycats game!

Visitors should also brace themselves for a scare on the tour! However don’t worry; there is a sofa at the ready for those who need to hide behind it when they come face to face with heads of Cyberman, Ood, Davros and Jadoon from Doctor Who. Cameras and Sonic Screwdrivers at the ready! Tours last approximately 90 minutes and involve a certain amount of walking and standing. We can take a maximum of 20 people per tour.

Please note: BBC Birmingham is a working building so we cannot guarantee who or what you will see on the day of your visit.
