She was attracted to music from Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Emmylou Harris and Dolly Parton. Diana combines old-time Appalachian folk music with country blues and a distinctive songwriting style. She is a consummate storyteller and her songs resonate with an intense sense of longing and bitter-sweet emotion.
