Designed for children and adults alike, Mark Thompson’s Spectacular Science Show explores the strange and magical properties of matter with exploding elephant’s toothpaste, vortex-generating dustbins and even howling jelly babies! Designed for children and adults alike, Mark will take the audience on a scientific voyage of discovery that will both enlighten and entertain in equal measure.
Mark’s take on science and astronomy first inspired millions of viewers to get out and enjoy the night sky through his role as a presenter on the RTS nominated show BBC Stargazing Live. His drive to enthuse and educate a new audience has found him working on The One Show, the Alan Titchmarsh show, This Morning, Channel 4 documentaries and more recently on ITV’s prime time breakfast show Good Morning Britain.

Recently he has turned his attention to the wider world of science and in 2016 debuted his sellout ‘Spectacular Science’ family show at the Edinburgh Fringe. The show has gone from strength to strength and played to sellout audiences around the country. We are delighted to welcome Mark to the festival and look forward to him bringing his 21st century, Spectacular Science Show to Bewdley, with a bang!
