The Actor's Apology By John Cargill Thompson
Dean Taylor Professional Theatre Productions, famous for its outdoor Summer Shakespeare Tours, comes to perform a new comedy.
Eighteenth Century actor George Frederick Cooke from Berwick-upon -Tweed is summoned by his audience to explain and apologise for his on-stage drunkenness during a portrayal of Shakespeare's 'Richard III'.
"I'll die first. Let them burn."
