Literary Lunchtimes

Liven up lunchtime with bookish adventures in the Group Space featuring readings by popular writers and specially themed literary events.

Spill Simmer Falter Wither is Sara Baume`s debut novel. This quietly powerful story is told through the eyes of a man speaking to his only companion, a rescue dog he calls One-Eye. Set against the changing seasons in rural Ireland, this is an affecting, reflective novel on isolation and belonging.

Sara Baume has been published in The Dublin Review, The Moth, The Penny Dreadful, The Stinging Fly and the Irish Independent as part of the Hennessy New Irish Writing series. In 2014 Baume won the Davy Byrnes Short Story Award for her story "Solesearcher1."

Presented by John Hewitt Society, in association with Belfast Book Festival.
