Write, Rock, Record Summer Camp

Are you a young musician aged 12 to 17, writing lyrics, melodies, creating riffs, or practicing your favourite songs at home? Perhaps you’re almost ready to start a band but don’t know where to begin. Curious about how the recording process works in the studio?

This summer camp is designed to bring up to 12 practicing musicians and song writers together to write and record a track with each other under the guidance of a team of professional musicians.

The Strummerville rehearsal rooms at Oh Yeah will be converted into a bespoke boutique studio and production room for the week. Participants will gain entry level access to studio techniques and gain valuable insights into the recording process by actively working with a team or professionals.

The week will include pre-production skills and streamlining song writing techniques, including coalescing melody, riffs and lyrics. A professional engineer will be providing input and support and musicians will guide the song writing, rehearsal and recording process throughout the week.
