Music Zine Summer Camp
This a week long course helping teenagers become creative with words.
Interested in music journalism and photography? Like the idea of learning how it works by actively creating your own magazine or blog, complete with photos, reviews, news and features?
Oh Yeah has teamed up with The Thin Air magazine and Carrie Davenport Photography to provide hands on learning in publishing.
Over the course of five days participants will work together under guidance from our experts to deliver what will be a fun, colourful, engaging Zine and blog that you will produce and publish at the end of the week.
Photography tuition will include everything from f-stops to flash guns, portraits to urban and street photography, composing, framing and shooting great images, still and live.
Music Journalism will cover writing styles, content, interview, reviews and feature writing skills. This will be a fully practical experience that will include interviewing real bands and writing real gig reviews!
Both elements will come together at the end of the week to take you through the process of uploading and editing to layout and style.
For ages 12 to 19.
£120.00 per person includes a ticket to Volume Control summer party on Friday 24th July. Places secured with a £50 deposit which is non-refundable.
