The Lost Brothers

The Lost Brothers 4th album, New Songs Of Dawn and Dust, marks a significant step forward for the Irish duo. From the 30 songs written on the road, 15 were selected for the studio, recording 12 and 9 appearing on the album with three instrumentals. All recorded and mixed in 7 days at Parr Street Studios with old friend and collaborator Bill Ryder-Jones (The Coral) at the production helm.

It’s no surprise that gigs in the last few years with luminaries such as Brendan Benson, The Frames, Billy Bragg, John Prine, Squeeze and, most recently, The Delines have landed them plenty of vocal support from their musical mentors and peers.

The band describe musical influences that range from Chuck Berry to Harry Nilsson to Beck, from Ennio Morricone to Jack Nitzsche, from Sweeney’s Men to Van Morrison, from Bob Dylan to Lou Reed and Nick Cave.

The Lost Brothers are Mark McCausland and Oisin Leech.

What already promises to be a special night will be made all the better with the addition of Malojian who we champion endlessly and make no apologies for it. With a new album Southlands in the can and a brilliant lead track Communion Girls, surely 2015 is going to be Stevie Scullion’s year?
