New Lyric Operatic Company

On this the year of the 65th Anniversary New Lyric Operatic Company is proud to present The Witches of Eastwick.

The Witches of Eastwick is a contemporary, comedic and touching story set in the quiet town of Eastwick. Three women lament over their tired, humdrum lives and the need for a decent man, however all is about to change when the mysterious Darryl Van Horne moves into town.

Darryl invites each of the women, and the town’s locals to unknowingly ‘Dance with the Devil’ along a path of disrepute, filled with scandal and laced with bad decisions. A few good souls and the strong will of the leading ladies may be enough to shake off the curse that is upon them before they lose their town and their souls forever.

Based on the book by John Updike with music and lyrics by John Dempsey and Dana P. Rowe Witches of Eastwick boasts a back catalogue of satirical (Make Him Mine), comedic (Darryl Van Horne) and moving songs (Loose Ends) that will take you on a journey of revenge, family remorse and a case full of dirty laundry.

Directed by Michael Poynor, Choreographed by Wendy Mairs and with Musical Direction from Wilson Shields New Lyric will defy its audiences once more with this seductive and delightful show.
