Fight On For Annie Purple Gala Ball

Fight On For Annie is a local fund set up to raise money for both Pancreatic Cancer UK & Pancreatic Cancer Action UK in memory of Anne O'Neill. She was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer in summer 2013 and passed away seven months later in January 2014, aged 54. Her daughter Gráinne O’Neill wanted to help in some way; so I decided to put her energy into fundraising. Since October 2013 the charity have raised £22,000.

Pancreatic cancer is the fifth most common cause of cancer death in the UK. In Northern Ireland in 2012 there were 244 cases of pancreatic cancer diagnosed and 243 pancreatic cancer deaths. The poor rate of survival is shocking when compared to developments in other cancer areas- it needs change and it is Fight On For Annie's goal is to help to achieve this sooner.

The Gala Ball is a night of entertainment to include live music from Backbeat and compered by U105's Frank Mitchell. There will be a drinks reception at 7:00pm. This is a black tie dress code.
