Na Leanai, meaning ‘the children’ in Irish.

Making their first appearance at The Erigle Belfast are County Down cousins Na Leanai.

This four piece band has a unique sound, with emphasis on close vocal harmonies covering an eclectic mix of traditional Irish and World music.

Their first performance was at last year's prestigious Fiddlers Green Festival in Rostrevor where they opened for top trad band Craobh Rua,

That led to an appearance on Radio Ulster Folk Club, and gigs at Northern landmark venues like The Bronte Centre and Belfast's legendary Sunflower Folk Club..

Eimear, Fra, Ry and Sorcha grew up performing songs and tunes they learnt as children from their musical parents The Sands Family,
and from renowned musicians they've met in their own kitchens or back stage at some of the world's most prestigious theatres and concert halls.

They have mastered the art of blending old and new, so you might see a djembe used with flute, whistles, fiddle and guitar as well as the more traditional bodhran

Expect everything from haunting airs that speak to the soul to lively jigs that make it impossible not to tap your feet, and vocal harmonies that will give you goose bumps
