A Day In The Lives Of Frankie Abbott
What happens when a fantasist with a fading memory recalls events from years ago?
Frankie Abbott (David Barry), now in a care home, is helped by Marion (Linda Regan), one of the carers, to remember. The fun starts as the mother-smothered big talking buffoon reverts to a past littered with guns, girls and gangsters.
The performance lasts for 50 minutes and will be followed by a Q & A session.
For fans of 'Please Sir!' and 'The Fenn Street Gang' this will be a great piece of nostalgia and seeing them revisit an old character. For people who haven't seen the programs, the piece stands up on it's own as a well written melancholy comedy.
David has written a brilliant script as he knows the character inside out and he also used to write some of the episodes of "The Fenn Street Gang". This is a very unique play, as this has never been done before using a character from a much loved program and seeing where they are 40 years down the line and having the character played by the same actor.
Linda Regan star of Hi-De-Hi will be playing Marion.
