The St James Wine Vaults proudly presents an evening of Northern Soul.

Northern Soul marked the birth of late-night dance culture in the UK. Many of the songs that eventually became Northern Soul classics were once recorded in the 1960's by African-American artists, but became rejected or unreleased. These tracks were later be rediscovered and revered by white working-class dancers and music fans in the north of England.
