St Gregory's School Production 2020 - Into The Woods

This production of Into The Woods is performed on a side stage. This means that the main performance stage will run the length of the hall with the orchestra located on the the school stage. There are four blocks of seats that run along the length of the hall facing the performance stage. Please bear this in mind when booking tickets and choosing your seats!

St Gregorys School presents the fairytale world of Into the Woods. A world where people change and discover who they are, and who they might become. A world where we are told to listen and protect our children. A cast of over 80 students from Years 7 -13 have put together this mysterious and magical fable for our time. This is one of the most challenging productions we have taken on and the students, as always, have responded magnificently.

Rehearsals are in full swing and the enchanting world of story book characters and magical kingdoms will take to the stage from Wednesday 29 to Friday 31 January 2020.

The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the Kings Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witchs curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyones wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

This musical masterpiece is supported by the hugely talented St Gregory's orchestra who will, once again, showcase the enchanting musical score and bring the performance to life.
