Paul Wright - We Have Contact

Following an extremely successful solo show last year, Paul Wright returns with a stunning new collection. We Have Contact will present a wide range of subjects all in his inimatable style, pushing at the boundaries of his wild colour palette and dynamic brush strokes.

Wright’s work is characteristed by its dynamic depiction of his subject matter, whether portraits, monochromes, still life or interiors. We Have Contact references the narratives that touch us and connect us to each other. Through Wright’s images we pick up clues, and they draw us into his colourful world. However, his narratives are always open ended, in his words, ‘revealing experience, emotion, and a moment in time’ with an intoxicating ambiguity.

Paul Wright was born in 1973 in Leicester. In 1995, he graduated with a degree in Illustration from Falmouth School of Art. He has since formed his own distinct style and gone on to exhibit internationally, including the India Arts Festival 2012 in Mumbai and The Russell Collection in Texas in 2010.
