Songs Of Friendship: Team Viking, A Hundred Different Words For Love and Revelations

Acclaimed writer and performer James Rowland makes his Ustinov debut in the New Year, with Songs Of Friendship, a revelatory storytelling cycle about love, life, friendship, death – and the ridiculous, sublime muddles of everyday existence.

Featuring live music and original songs, these three celebrated shows have won international awards and acclaim, establishing James Rowland as one of the UK’s foremost storytellers.

All three shows, which focus on the various friendships, relationships, loves and losses that James has experienced, can be enjoyed as stand-alone experiences, or seen across consecutive evenings at the Ustinov Studio as one epic trilogy. Each premiered at the Edinburgh Festival, have been performed over 250 times, and now tour for the first time together.
