Bath Light Operatic Group makes its annual visit to the Theatre Royal with the heart-warming story of Annie. The winner of seven Tony Awards when it opened in 1977, the show is one of the best-loved family musicals of all.

Based on the popular comic strip, Annie tells the extraordinary story of a gutsy eleven yearold orphan and her stray dog, Sandy. Unlike most of the other children at Miss Hannigan’s orphanage, Annie believes that her parents are still alive and will one day return to claim her. Her luck changes when she is selected to spend Christmas in the palatial home of billionaire Oliver Warbucks but the evil Miss Hannigan, her devious brother Rooster and his moll Lily are determined to spoil the fun…

Bursting with classic tunes like Tomorrow, It’s a Hard-Knock Life, You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile and Easy Street, Annie has a happy ending which will leave you with a warm glow.

One of the most acclaimed amateur companies in the region, Bath Light Operatic Group’s recent productions have included Sister Act, Jesus Christ Superstar and South Pacific.
