SexBox: Impermanence Dance Theatre
SexBox is a danced response to psychoanalyst Wilheim Reich’s belief that a healthy release of sexual energy is the crux of humanity’s salvation. Set to a score by pioneering German electronic musician and Reich disciple Ursula Bogner, you’ll be taken deep into stranger and stranger domains of liberation, perversion and sensuality.
Impermanence creates critically acclaimed work for theatre, film, cabaret, site specific projects and community events. They devise processes to allow for cross art form collaboration and democratic input. They source historic documents which speak to our current human and political condition, as a form of cultural archaeology; unearthing texts, images, music, interviews and artworks. They then combine and abstract these into exciting new work, full of conflict, beauty, drama and colour that talks about the world around, in front and behind us.
