Paul Thompson

Norfolk singer-songwriter Paul Thompson is embarking on an epic musical journey round Britain during summer 2015...in a milk float! Playing in inspiring outdoor spaces, arts centres, festivals, eco centres, clubs, village halls, and house concerts, Paul will be travelling across Britain in a specially converted milk float that utilises solar panels to power stage lighting and music gear. He will be the first solo musician ever to tour Britain in a milk float!

Paul’s music has been described as ‘blissed out Donovan meets John Martyn’, and he uses a loop box (think Ed Sheeran) to layer guitar, vocals and rhythm.

Paul will be running a daytime song-writing workshop on June 17 also. 'Making Senses' will be a two hour workshop suitable for all ages and abilities (no musical instruments required). The first half of the workshop will involve some outdoor observational exercises that get the participants tuning in to their senses, returning to the venue in the second half to do some song lyric writing. There will also be a competition for the best song lyrics to win a free day's music recording with Travelling Studio, who will come out to the winner's location of choice with all their recording gear to make a recording of the winning song.
