Cropredy Jazz Presents: Derek Nash In Concert

It’s true to say that Derek Nash has been at the forefront of the British Jazz movement for over two decades and proves himself continually to be one of our most versatile saxophonists. Apart from heading the sax section of Jool’s Holland’s various ensembles he plays with some of the creme de la creme of UK music including recordings with Clark Tracey, Alex Dankworth and Steve Brown. His own very successful ’Sax Appeal’ band has met with critical acclaim year after year and his forays into the pop world have seen him on stage with Eric Clapton, Amy Winehouse, Tom Jones, Madeleine Peyroux and many more. So - naturally we are delighted to have nabbed him between shows for an evening of jazz with a bluesy edge and featuring on piano David Newton, Paul Jefferies (bass) and drummer Mitch Perrin.
