Cupid Wore Skirts

Cupid Wore Skirts is one of the most popular and most performed of all Sam Crea three act plays.

The action takes place at the home of Antique Dealer Andrew Coulter, a widower who lives with his elderly father and teenage son, Brian. His married daughter, Daphne, comes in each day to look after the house. Daphne becomes pregnant and is worried how the men will cope. She decides her father needs another wife.

Andrew's sister-in-law makes a bet with Andrew that he couldn't get a new wife within a fortnight. Andrew advertises for a wife, confident that he will win the bet and find a bride. The three applicants who accept his proposals are a varied lot, typical of a Cree comedy.

The play is fast paced and hilarious with plots and sub-plots.
