The Heaney O'Driscoll Memorial Lecture
The second in a three year series of lectures dedicated to the memories of two of Ireland’s foremost poets of the 20th century and friends of the John Hewitt Society, Seamus Heaney and Dennis O’Driscoll. Bernard O’Donoghue is a poet, academic and literary critic. He is the author of Seamus Heaney and the Language of Poetry (1994).

Winner of the Whitbread Poetry Prize, with his collection 'Gunpowder', O'Donoghue's writing is largely inspired by his native Cork.
