This event is organised by Angus natives Steve Byrne (Arbroath), Alistair Heather (Newbigging) and Josh Bircham (Arbroath) along with local and national help fae pals.

Our ambition is to put on a great celebration of vibrant Scottish culture, to show that 700 years on from the declaration, Arbroath is still going strong!

Well be staging the very best Angus and Scotland has to offer. Steve being nominated for the upcoming Scots Singer of the Year award, and Dundees Sheena Wellington has awards coming out of her ears from a long and distinguished career.

Were lucky to have Dr Donald Smith and company producing and performing a brand new narrative performance for the event, which will draw upon the female voices, the downtrodden fowk of embattled 13th century Scotland.

Newport-based broadcaster Billy Kay has a new BBC Scotland radio series coming up about the Declaration of Arbroath, and he will join us to talk about the national and international significance of the Declaration.
