Ray Charles Orchestra
A tribute to the music of Ray Charles; this exciting project made it's Cinnamon Club debut to a sell-out audience in 2009 and we're delighted to host the project again.
'A tribute to the music of Ray Charles' was put together by Jeremy Sassoon, and features the finest line-up of the North West's Jazz alumni. The stunning arrangements, many based on the Big Band collaborations between Ray Charles, Count Basie and Quincy Jones are the work of Iain Dixon. The band features horn and woodwind section plus backing vocals, and they all contribute to a soundscape worthy of the great legend himself.
