For the closing concert of the season, we are delighted to welcome Toby Thatcher as our guest conductor. Toby is a young Australian conductor with multiple awards to his name and, after appreciating him as a rehearsal conductor, the FSO is looking forward to working with him on a full concert programme.

In the first half, Verdi's well known Nabucco Overture will be combined with the seldom-heard Nobilissima Visione by Hindemith which is a fantastic showcase for the different sections of the orchestra. Returning to the outdoors theme, the final work of the evening will feature the great spaces of North America championed by Dvorak in his Symphony No. 9.

They hope the season will take you to some exciting and unfamiliar musical places as well as some well-loved favourites.
