A virtuoso singer-songwriter and masterful acoustic guitarist, Sam Carter is one of contemporary folk music’s most inspiring trailblazers. Ever since his 2009 debut album, Keepsakes, and the subsequent Best Newcomer title at the 2010 BBC Folk Awards, Sam has forged a superb reputation as a fiercely-independent innovator and voice of the people.
He’s supported Bellowhead on tour, appeared on ‘Later… with Jools Holland’, been part of a brilliant line-up of artists joining ‘The Lady: A Homage To Sandy Denny’ and, in early 2015, formed the amazing False Lights with Jim Moray. It is a privilege to welcome back to our stage.
