Mark Beaumont

We are privileged to have the amazing Mark Beaumont with us at this year’s festival to talk about his global cycling experiences. Mark broke the world record cycling around the globe in 2008, smashing the previous record by an incredible 81 days. He has since gone on to adventures cycling the Americas and rowing the Arctic, to say nothing of surviving for 14 hours in the Atlantic following a capsize whilst rowing the mid-Atlantic trade winds route.

Mark will join us fresh from an attempt to beat the world record in a cycle from Cairo to Cape Town across some of the world’s most challenging terrain. He started that cycle in April 2015.
