Fraser Fifield has enjoyed a varied and successful freelance music career over two decades, travelling the world performing with a variety of artists, taking in Carnegie Hall and Sydney Opera House along the way. Growing up in Glen Tanar, near Aboyne, his early musical years were of course influenced greatly by well known local musicians, teachers, and the sense of place. So it is with a sense of completion perhaps that Fraser returns to his former secondary school theatre, performing his original pieces on saxophone, bagpipes, whistle and Bulgarian kaval.
Guitarist Graeme Stephen, originally of Aberdeen, an award winning artist in his own right, has been a musical colleague of Fraser’s for some 17 years, forging an uncommon musically intuitive understanding.
