Martyn Wyndham-Read, Iris Bishop

Martyn Wyndham-Read has been involved with folk music for fifty years. He headed off to Melbourne and became part of the folk song revival there and throughout Australia during the early 1960’s.

Back to England in 1967 Martyn was asked by Bert Lloyd to be part of the album ‘Leviathan’ with Martin Carthy, Dave Swarbrick and Trevor. With his golden voice and stunning accompaniment from Iris Bishop this is a very rare chance to see the ‘Master’ at work and is must see/hear concert.

Iris is acclaimed as the best accompaniment artist in the folk world. Iris and Martyn will be running a workshop in the afternoon before the concert on ‘accompanying songs’ a must for all you musicians out there.
