Chekhov Shorts Translated by Michael Frayn
10ft Tall Theatre’s first production will be performed between November 9th and November 20th 2016 at Brewdog’s newest venue UnderDog. 12 performances of ‘Chekhov Shorts’ will feature a professional cast of three Actors from the Stage and Screen.
Michael Frayn’s acclaimed translations are a wild and witty take on the short comedic farces by one of the world’s greatest writers, Anton Chekhov. Exploring the absurdity of life in the late 19th century, these three hilarious plays offer more than just a laugh a minute but a curious exploration into human nature.
The cast includes Matthew Zajac (The Tailor of Inverness, BBC’s River City & Still Game) and Aberdeen born actors Mark Wood (NTS’s Granite, ITV’s Trinity & Sea of Souls) and Sarah Helena Ord (Distorted Frequency, Kindness of Strangers).
