Not jazz, nor a trio and not entirely Scottish, the National Jazz Trio of Scotland are Bill Wells (piano, laptop), Aby Vulliamy (vocals, viola), Kate Sugden (vocals, marimba), and Gerard Black (vocals).
They have recorded three albums for the Berlin - based Karaoke Kalk label, two, (Standards Vol ll and lll) of mainly original material and one, (The NJTOS's Xmas Album) of well known carols.
As a live act they have shared the same stage with names as diverse as Teenage Fanclub, James Blackshaw and Steve Beresford.
