‘The Road To Waterloo’ / ‘Waterloo Lives'

'The Road to Waterloo' draws on a host of weapons, uniform, paintings and stories from the rich collections of The Gordon Highlanders Museum and National Army Museums, exploring their role in one of the most bloody and decisive conflicts in the history of the British Army.

Beginning with the raising of the regiment for battle, and following the story through to the decisive victory on the 18th June 1815, the display gives visitors the opportunity to see rarely seen artefacts.

The National Army Museum's 'Waterloo Lives' display, offers visitors the opportunity to go back to 1815 and discover some of the personal stories of the soldiers and their families. The 'Waterloo Lives' exhibition at the Gordon Highlanders Museum is a part of a series of activities and events produced by the National Army Museum.
