Dr Neil J Kitchener

Dr Neil J. Kitchiner will present a personal perspective of his deployment to Afghanistan in Oct 2013 as an Army Reservist from 203 Welsh Field Hospital based in Cardiff.

He will describe what led him to join the Army in 2011 as a Reservist and the prepartion he underwent to enable him to deploy on Herrick 19A as part of the UK Field Mental Health Team based in Camp Bastion, Afghanistan. He will use a comination of his dairy notes, photo's and video clips to show the realisties of life deployed with the Army and an insight into his daily work providing a peripetetic mental health out-patient service to serving personnel and MoD contractors across Afghanistan.

The content will be delievered in a informal manner and will be followed by a Q & A session.

Proceeds from this event will be divided equally between Penarth Arts and Crafts Limited and Veterans NHS Wales.
