The Crookes
Sheffield indie-pop guitar merchants The Crookes are signed to influential indie label Fierce Panda. Citing a range of diverse influences, from The Smiths and Orange Juice to 60's girl groups through to 50's rock and roll, the band embrace these sounds under their own genre known as 'New Pop'. The Crookes have gained themselves some famous fans, including fellow Sheffield icon Richard Hawley, and look set to build an impressive career with 2012 debut album 'Hold Fast'.

The Heartbreaks
The Morecambe four-piece play bright, witty and youthful anthems, combining ferocious, rattling drums and chiming guitars with Motown hooks that come together with the knowing swagger and melodic lushness of all great life affirming pop. During the last year, The Heartbreaks have performed alongside Carl Barat, The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs and The Courteeners along with performing for Bono in Milan, Burberry in New York and Kitsune in Paris. With comparisons to iconic musical heroes such as Morrissey and Elvis Costello, frontman Matthew Whitehouse has all the charisma, finesse and significance of a classic frontman. The Heartbreaks are Matthew Whitehouse (vocals), Joseph Kondras (Drums), Ryan Wallace (Guitar) and Deaks (Bass).

Broken Hands
There's a ragged glory to Broken Hands' music - a rumbling growl and cathartic howl suggesting decades on the road, if not the wagon; half a lifetime of hard days, wild nights and regretful dawns. The fact that the impossibly youthful band are actually only just embarking on their own rock odyssey is hard to fathom, and will probably prove deeply upsetting for the many addled bluesmen forced to symbolically sell their souls to achieve something like it. The roots of R&B run strong in such young blood, but dare to call what they do 'classic' rock and they'll scoff politely: these are contemporary songs, culled from countless sessions down in their borrowed basement rehearsal space. They've just done it in a quiet bit of Kent.

Dexters
Hailing from East London, these boys sound like the bastard child of The Clash, The Jam and The La's and have the infectious energy and big tunes to match.
