Held in Derbyshire, the Y-Not Festival started in 2006 with over 30 bands and DJs. This three day festival steers away from sponsorship and high prices. In 2013 the festival for 5,000 runs from Friday 2nd until Sunday 4th August over two stages at a site on Mouldridge Lane, near Matlock.
The festival attempts to have an intimate nature, with many of the bands camping with festival goers, and friendly stewards. Late night entertainment includes a dance tent, or camp fire singalongs and there will be real ales and local ciders available.
It's an eclectic mix of genres: household names and established artists are found next to buzz bands of 2013 and local talent.
On Friday - headlining are The Horrors, supported by the Mystery Jets, Saturday, it's The Cribs, supported by Ash and on Sunday, it's The Darkness, supported by The Enemy.
