The High Pressure Sound System
The High Pressure Sound System at The Crescent, York
About the show
Give thanks to all that reached the 17th birthday session. Next up, two sounds meet in peace, bringing two sccops each and going in rotation all night long with dub fi dub to finish!
Alongside our blue boxes of joy, we invite long-time friends; fellow Yorkshire sound system culture enthusiasts, and roots, dub & steppas specialists: High Pressure Sound System!
They will be bringing their top-notch, camo-coloured rig to The Crescent for the first time since it was a Working Men's Club! Established in Leeds in 2004 as one of the tuffest rigs in the north, these guys know sound system business. They've got next level dubplates and specials from some of the biggest artists in the global reggae scene, plus releases on their own record label: Ruffa Roots. Special guest MC: Dane'jah, one of the finest toasters in Yorkshire will be joining to bless the mic.
