Few acts in modern music have matched the impact of Gnarls Barkley. Their debut album the platinum-selling, St. Elsewhere (2006) earned critical acclaim, numerous awards and nominations including Grammys, Brits, MTV and Soul Train, and global success on the strength of the record-shattering yet somewhat accidental hit single “Crazy”, a song that topped charts worldwide and became the first ever to reach No. 1 in the U.K. based solely on digital downloads.

The success of St. Elsewhere established CeeLo Green and Danger Mouse as one of the most inventive musical partnerships of their generation, blending soul, hip-hop, rock, pop and psychedelia to top the UK Albums Chart and produce a string of standout tracks, with “Crazy” at its heart.

Their second album, The Odd Couple, followed in 2008, with Gnarls Barkley last performing together that same year, after which the pair pursued hugely successful careers in their own right before reconnecting nearly two decades later to create new Gnarls Barkley music.
