About the show

Celebrated Pershore-based pianist Chris Long performs a concert of music by Elizabethan, Baroque, Romantic and contemporary composers, as well as improvising on medieval plainchant and traditional music of the British Isles.

The concert takes place in the historic surroundings of the Manor House in Willersey, which dates back to the 14th century and was originally built for the Abbot of Evesham as a summer residence. The historic home has long-standing traditions associated with the renowned Elizabethan composer William Byrd (c. 1540–1623) - so expect some of Byrd's music in the programme!

The music is prefaced by drinks in the beautiful gardens.

Proceeds from the event will go to supporting the work of the British Red Cross.

Featuring - Chris Long
